A Word from Mr Saleh Al Mulhim
Some families inherit a business. Mine inherited a responsibility. When my parents opened their first school in the year 2000, I was old enough to see what it actually asked of them: the early mornings, the weight of decisions that would shape someone else's child, the years of quiet work behind every family's simple question, is my child in good hands? That is what I grew up understanding a school to be. Not a building. Not a curriculum. A promise, kept daily, for years.
Rakeen comes from that understanding, and from something I wanted as a father. I wanted a school where a child could be challenged to think at the highest level while becoming more grounded in their faith, more connected to their language, and more confident in who they are.
Rakeen has been years in the making. We began with Chickadee seven years ago, deliberately building it as the foundation for what would come next. What we learned there about how young children settle, trust, and begin to learn has shaped every decision we have made since.
I will not accept for any child here less than I would accept for my own. No child will be unknown. Every teacher will know every student under their care, what they are strong at, what slows them down, what they need on a hard day. What we see in your child, you will hear from us. Not at the end of term, but when it matters.
This is the school I wanted for my children. I would be glad for yours to be part of it.
